Personality: Believe it or not, Petra is definitely someone you warm up to. It's only safe to say that her star sign is a Leo, the symbolism of a lion, which she most certainly is. A fixed fire sign, this young girl pretty much exhibits all the qualities of the typical Leo, from her generosity and warmth to her short, fiery temper and estranged confidence and temerity. True to her heart, Petra's a good-natured person, constantly striving for adventure and fun. She's simple-hearted, and rather enthusiastic about a lot of things, albeit easily bored. She's a playful girl, you see, and would prefer play to work anytime. However, this isn't to say that she isn't determined. Quite the opposite, this 17-year-old girl is amazingly ambitious, never turning in work late. Fiercely competitive, Petra's always prompt, with a bit of obsessive compulsive disorder lingering in her character. The only thing she lacks to make her more outstanding than she attempts to be is her inability to do what she focus upon during something she doesn't want to do. She is a procrastinator, only during work when the deadline comes, resulting in panic. Though she pretends to be extremely strong and level-headed at times, she definitely does not work well under stress. Upon doing things she loathes, Petra keenly allows her mind to wander. She's not absent-minded, no; but she's an utmost creative girl. She's also amazingly restless, making it hard for her to sit still and oftentimes unable to concentrate in situations she has no interest in. Don't get me wrong, though, for she is certainly not slow. To say that is completely absurd, for Petra had always been one of the most quick-witted, intelligent, and cleverest girl in school. She has a sarcastic tongue, and could hurl unsurpassable retorts when you get on her nerves. In case you didn't know, she can defend herself amazingly well, both verbally and physically. Though she tries hard to control her temper, she can hurl a d**n good punch when time ensues. Petra's just not someone you either love or hate; she's the sort of person you warm up to. She's not always as tough as she pretends to be, and you'll find that she has slight charm once you get over her stiff and hard demeanor. Despite the wall she puts up at first glance, Petra's a bit of a pushover once you break her. To be frank, she is a lot weaker than she makes herself out to be.
In terms of congeniality, Petra is certainly open, though not in the way most would expect. Stubborn to the brink, she speaks her thoughts and voices her opinions, though does not easily accept what others say. She doesn't think before she says a lot of things, and tends to brush people the wrong way because of her impetuosity. She has a large tendency to say the wrong things at the wrong time, and is usually too proud to apologize. Nevertheless, if you can stand by her, you'll know she can be quite a talkative person, playful to no end. You'll learn a lot about her once you break through the exterior, though she's still as unpredictable as ever. She might be sensitive and moody, but Petra has ways of dealing with things no one could fathom. She even has a good sense of humor, and is loves to cheer those she cares about a lot when they're upset. She's very protective and loyal to the people she cares about. She'd drop all she was doing to help a friend in need. She's a good advice giver, believe it or not, and will never falter in telling her friends the truth, not what they want to hear. Being bold, she'll take a bullet for them any day. As a secret idealist and romantic at heart, she pretty much assumes that's what friends do for each other, right? Right. As you can see, Petra is rather generous at heart. Despite the shallow nature of her mother, Petra would never falter in donating money or spending time for others when needed. Of course, she's wary about people and not easily to manipulate, no, but she loves to help out. You'll realize that once you get to know her more.
But, of course, being a Leo has their bad sides too, one being that they are definitely as hard-headed as, well, a mountain. Pardon the comparison, but ideas simply could not be pushed onto Petra. She has her own set of beliefs and morals, and follows them no matter what you say or do. She has her own mind, is fiercely independent, and hates it when people tell her what to be or what not to do. Though she wears her feelings on her sleeves, she hates being pitied for or asking people for help. She has a huge confidence in herself, which is only a mask to her real insecurities. That being said, Petra also has an extremely short temper, and could get mad just by the snap of a finger. She tries to control it, yes, but it doesn't always end up like that. She isn't the sort of girl who hides her feelings inside, and when she's mad, she'll tell it to your face. She's not fake, and when she doesn't like anyone, you'll know it. She's true to herself, doesn't care what anyone thinks of her, and can be overbearing when provoked. She is easily jealous, even a bit dramatic and vengeful sometimes, but she tries not to hold grudges. Overall, she's just Petra. She's a normal child with a less than normal past. So all's forgiven, right?
History: Talking about her past is certainly not something Petra often does. She tries to forget about it as much as possible, and evade the topic whenever she is asked. Born early in the morning of July 26th, 1990, in St. Petersburg, Russia, Petra Ana Leigh Ivanov was the younger of two children. Her mother was a housewife who valued money more than everything else, while her father was a hard-working Russian professor. As children growing up in an upper middle class family, Petra and her two-year-older brother, Dmitriv, were taught at a very early age on how to keep up appearances. Since the head of the household was busy tackling a job and money for all four members of his family, Eltsina assumed charge of the children. She tried to instill upon her kin that first impressions and the adoration of neighbors and fans were a lot more important than anything else. That and money. Looking good in front of the public was all that Eltsina Ivanov, now Eltsina Fara, seemed to care about. While her superficial attitude fooled the public, both Petra and Dmitriv knew at a very early age that their parents’ marriage wasn’t bound to last. Their mother and father, after all, were probably about as polar opposites as could possibly be. Instead of complementing one another, however, they oftentimes got into big arguments regarding the slightest of things – things that swayed Petra and Dmitriv’s support. While Elstina was strict and amazingly abhorrent of disobedience, especially in front of ‘influential people’, Mister Alessandro Ivanov was a lot more lax and believed in, well, simply being true to one’s own self. The two dithering lovers often bickered about how to raise the children, the father’s arguments of which Petra always supported. Dmitriv, meanwhile, always refused to take sides and stood as the mediator. Surprisingly enough, Dmitriv’s impartiality went along well with Petra’s more aggressive and stubborn behavior, and both were very close to each other. When Petra was upset by an argument, Dmitriv would always be the one to calm her down. He was her sole confidante, the one who made everything okay even when it really wasn’t. He supported her through thick and thin, and she loved her brother to death. She loved her father, who tended to make time to play and hang out with his children instead of shopping for luxurious clothing, too. Because Mister Ivanov had to work long shifts, though, Petra and Dmitriv tended to do everything together. They were the perfect siblings, though their family itself fell apart; shortly afterwards, Eltsina and Alessandro divorced, shocking their neighbors into realizing their family, indeed, wasn’t as impeccable as they thought. Alessandro couldn’t deal with Eltsina anymore and, regardless of public opinion, left the family early in the morning after declaring their marriage over. Eltsina, in fear of what the others would say, lied to their neighbors and put the blame on Alessandro. Petra hated her ever so much more for that. In a way, she blamed Eltsina for breaking the family apart and pushing her father away. She never saw her father again.
As time passed, Eltsina decided to move Petra and Dmitriv to New York City because of a better job opportunity. With the task of taking care of her kids placed in her own hand, Eltsina had to find an occupation she was good at. Unfortunately, she, having lived in Russia her entire life, hardly knew enough English to pass her through the day. To become a secretary of a business firm, Eltsina seduced and slept with her boss. Petra saw the two of them sleeping together one night, and ran into Dmitriv’s room and cried. Dmitriv, once more, consoled her. He, in fact, seemed to console her in almost everything, as life in this new and foreign place wasn’t as easy as you’d think. Since she just came from Russia, Petra was oftentimes mimicked and teased by her fellow students in school. With Dmitriv’s push and help, she used the mockery as a spur to make her work harder. She ended up mastering English, excelling in schoolwork, and celebrated by learning how to bowl with her athletically and intellectually talented older brother. Also with Dmitriv’s help, Petra managed to endure the first remarriage of Eltsina and (guess who?) her teacher.
Though Petra oftentimes disobeyed her new father’s rules and got punished for it, she managed to get through the day with help of Dmitriv. When she told Eltsina and her new father that she wanted to become an actress, her parents laughed and told her that it was not only a futile dream, but amazingly crass and stupid for her to pursue. Dmitriv supported her. She relied on Dmitriv to keep her spirits high, and when he died from an unexpected heart attack from a weak heart condition no one knew he had, Petra was the most devastated person ever. Her mother didn’t even seem to care as much – and if she did, it was only for show. Noting her mother’s indifferent behavior, Petra’s dislike of her mom grew into pure loathing, channeling all her sorrow from her brother’s sudden death to anger and rebellion. Petra was the person who drove her mother’s husband away, only to find Eltsina marry another, even wealthier man barely a year later. Though Petra tried to behave, Eltsina and her new husband treated her with merely petty affections. She couldn’t take it anymore, and broke down during a dinner. She ended up getting into an argument with Eltsina about how she not only chased her father away, but also led to the overexhaustion of her brother, which led to his heart attack and death. She also mentioned how her mother didn’t seem to at all care, to which Eltsina slammed the table and told her to behave and apologize. Petra refused to, and ended up throwing the kitchen utensils all around. She was slapped by her new stepfather, sentenced to her room, and grounded. She decided to run away that night when everyone was sleeping. Her mother never went after her, and Petra realized that she was probably better off without Eltsina anyways. She ended up living on the streets a day or two before arriving at her best friend’s house and spending the night at the tiny place. She then moved from friend to friend and finally settled down with a close friend, Gwenyth. After buying Magnolia, her puppy, Petra decided to finally look for a job. Though she didn’t need to pay rent, she was held responsible for herself and Magnolia, and thus took up the post as a waitress in a small Café. She also helped out in the Mattwood Daycare Center, due to her love for children. She also passed by the Child Adoption Center while walking home from work one day, and felt sorry for the orphans there. She ended up tackling a volunteer job there as well. After earning enough money, Petra managed to hire the cheapest agent she could find in hopes of pursuing her dream goal – acting. Since now, she had tried out for two acting roles, but failed to attain the callbacks for both of them. Her agent told her that she had a good voice and ought to try out for Broadway to jump start her career into the entertainment industry, a decision she finally (albeit grudgingly) accepted. Though a year later she left the job, selling her place and moveing away for a new opportunity.
Reason Moving here: She is never happy, and although she dreams of being a actress...prehaps out here she can find herself, with horses.
Appearance: Petra, with her fair skin, lightly freckled face, pale rose cheeks and slightly chapped lips, is not the world’s most gorgeous girl. That title belonged to Helen of Troy, and she wouldn’t dream of taking it away from her. Quite on the contrary, Petra is content with how she looks, and wouldn’t have it any other way. Appearances, while important, are not the most essential thing in looking at how a person looks – as long as you’re comfortable with yourself, Petra strongly believes that that’s all that matters. Screw what other people think; everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Petra herself would claim that she could honestly give a d**n about what people take of her. She does what she does, and dresses the way she likes, only to make it work because of her self-assured demeanor. Granted, there are certain occasions when she knows better and glams up, but it’s not often Petra’d wear anything she’d not feel comfortable in. For instance, she’d never wear anything scantily made, unless it were for acting auditions or the like. She hardly ever puts on makeup either, as she thinks it superficial and shallow. Makeup hides imperfections, blemishes that Petra is completely at terms with. She is a strong believer that people ought to love you for who you are, not how amazing you look. That being said, Petra’s usual style of dress is rather casual, no high heels, nothing. She does not stress for a long time in the mirror trying to make all her flaws go away – to do so is atrociously pathetic in her opinion. Though there are specific moments when she’d stress over what to wear for specific occasions, most of the time, Petra would just pull something on over her she’d feel good in and let it be. She’s hardly the type of girl who dresses up, but it’s when she does that she manages to take your breath away.
Standing at 5’6 (1/2), Petra is neither the tallest nor shortest girl in the crowd, and she’s perfectly fine with that too. Dramatic and overbearing as she may be sometimes, she doesn’t always feel comfortable being the center of attention. All eyes on her complicates things and bother her. Petra isn’t the type of girl who tries to outshine people – not even when she’s competing against you. She’s true to herself, and those who think that she isn’t are imbeciles. Petra is just not the type of person who’s perfect in every way, and that’s awesome. She isn’t a model, and neither would she to be, though those initial grueling moments of living by and fending for herself has made her as slender as one at 108 lbs. She’s actually a big eater though, and loves to jog, so it’s not a problem. Being healthy is very important to Petra, and she is amazingly sanitary and hygienic. Back to the topic at hand, though, Petra does not have baby blue eyes that sparkle in the sun like a goddess, but rather hazel ones that glower when she’s upset and sparkle subtly when she’s happy. She isn’t someone with golden blonde hair flowing down to her buttocks either. Instead, she has naturally wavy, terra-cotta brown hair flowing a little down her shoulders that actually take a pain to take care of. Petra doesn’t consider herself ‘sexy’; that’s a much too subjective term anyways. She doesn’t go out of her way to appeal to guys, though whether or not they are attracted to her are not her issue to care. Is she pretty? Sure. Does she care? Not really. As long as she appears neat and healthy and personally comfortable, she’s content. Don’t you dare try to tell her otherwise.
But here brings us to another, and perhaps the most important aspect of the way Petra functions. For a girl who looks and acts so independent, Petra actually has a much nicer and more sensitive side to her. Though she has learned from a very early age not to always open her heart so eagerly in fear of getting hurt, Petra does wear her feelings on her sleeves. It’s not hard to decipher what she’s always thinking, though often she denies it. Once you break down her defenses, Petra is about the most kind-hearted person ever. She may look fierce sometimes, but she still has a softness inside of her. If you manage to stand by and tolerate her notions long enough, you’d know she has a warm aura surrounding her. When she’s around friends or children or even pets, Petra will smile a big smile and laugh melodiously. It’s not often she smiles, but when she does, her laughter and grin has the tendency to light up the room. She’s really a sincere and genuine girl, and you can tell that just by looking at her. She’s not someone who’d betray others for the sake of herself. Heck, she cares loads about people, and is the type to even make goofy faces and tell funny jokes when a friend needs some cheering up. She lights up when she shows her more sensitive side. After all, she’s not someone you either love or hate. Quite on the contrary, she’s someone you warm up to.
Pets:
-->Kirjava
-->Magnolia
On the rainy evening of November 10, 2007, Petra was returning home from the streets of Queens with an umbrella when she heard something whimper from a cardboard box. She looked down, spotting a snowy white newborn puppy dirtied by the falling rain. Being a pretty big pet lover, Petra set her umbrella down, drenching herself, bent down, and picked the puppy up with her bare hands. Placing the umbrella over both herself and the baby, Petra attempted to console it by singing the puppy a lullaby, gently shushing it, and rocking it. She made sure her hands kept it warm once she realized it was shivering. She hesitated, trying to find if any owner was around, before taking it to the vet. She found out the puppy was a female, and decided that her [the puppy’s] original owner was too crappy. She took the puppy in her own hands and named her Magnolia. She is the owner of Magnolia up to this very day. She wouldn't leave the beloved puppy in her entire life. Seriously. When she's looking for an apartment, she has to make sure Magnolia has a place to stay too. URL= i93.photobucket.com/albums/l79/mignolagraphics/cuteoverload1_icons/170.png
Family: If you ask Petra how her family is doing, she'd say she doesn't have a family anymore. She'd say that her mother, Eltsina Fara, was a superficial pregnant dog who chased her father, Alessandro Ivanov, away. Petra'd also claim Eltsina led to the spontaneous death of her beloved brother, Dmitriv Ivanov, without a care in the world. Though she was born in a naturally wealthy family, Petra detested living there after her father left, and then her brother. Her mother remarried twice, once shortly after her divorce with Alessandro, and then a year after the death of her son. Petra and her stepfathers never got along, only being quieted with the help of Dmitriv. Once he was gone, though, Petra grew to loathe the petty affections of her mother and ran away when things got too out of control. Her mother never went after her, and she really didn't care. She had friends that took care of her and learned to make a healthy enough lifestyle on her own anyways. She's lost all ties with her mom, and has no idea how Eltsina is doing now. Frankly, who really gives a nuts?

Relationship: Currently, Petra is single, and perfectly content. She doesn’t need to rely on a guy to satisfy her, though she would love to have kids one day. She is very committed in relationships, but is now still searching for her Prince Charming.
Crushes: Petra doesn’t get crushes easily, if only because she hardly ever admits she likes someone. She’s not someone who makes her crushing obvious either, as she treats her crushes the same as she would any other day. Tough luck there.
Dead Flames: Let’s see...you must either be an ex of hers or a one-night stand when she was on rebound. Despite her one-night-stands, she is a committed person. She will not go to the bar to purposefully get drunk and end up in someone else’s bed when she’s with another person. Once she’s over someone, however, she will end up with flings and the like. Maybe even friends with benefits. Either way, the people she’s been with and is now over fall under this category. You two may or may not still be friends. You might not even talk to each other anymore. Your call.
Kids: Though she loves children and gets along well with them, Petra is still looking for the right man to carry her kin. She would love to have children as a long-term goal. For now, though, she’ll wait for her dream guy to come around. Wary about safety and health, Petra doesn’t just ‘do it’ with anyone, even when drunk. She's always cautious for the guys to wear protection. And it's not like she's a sexaholic anyways. She's saving most of herself up for marriage. One day she'll have children...one day, with the right guy.
